HOW CUTE CAN YOU GET?!

HOW CUTE CAN YOU GET?! is a workshop that uses the manifestation of the aesthetic category of the cute to examine the recursive mechanisms by which images shape our personalities and identities. In the span of two weeks, participants channel and repurpose the image consumption habits we have all gotten so used to, in order to build (soft and squishy) case studies of cybernetic trends and mischievous algorithmic surveillance tactics of the FEED.

The work produced within the WORKROOM project – a residency and production platform launched in 2023, focused on experimental, multimedia, and research-based practices, with particular interest in works exploring alternative modes of feeling, thinking, and being.

Realized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, Zaklada Kultura Nova, and the City of Zagreb Office for Culture.

adO/Aptive is an interdisciplinary collective working across fine arts, performance, publishing, and theoretical mediation. The collective uses adaptation and adoption as strategies for collaboration, care, and the creation of shared imaginaries that delve into artistic research and participatory practices. adO/Aptive has presented work internationally at festivals, exhibition spaces, and independent art initiatives, continuously expanding its network of collaborators while maintaining a practice grounded in openness, hospitality, and critical play.

HOW CUTE CAN YOU GET?! is hosted by Daniel H. Pineda, an artist, curator, and researcher. His practice spans installation, video, lecture-performance, workshop, and editorial work.
