Tullio della Cortiglia ( FR/IT)
Tullio Della Cortiglia (b. 1996) is an Italian–French artist working at the intersection of drawing, video, sculpture, animatronics, and pyrotechnics.
His practice is rooted in handcrafting and explores the subversion of festive devices, analog special effects, and the intertwined histories of entertainment and military technologies, revealing the operative systems that shape contemporary culture.
His works unfold as urgent fragments of spectacle within unstable environments, reconfiguring the shifting frictions between urban and rural territories, where processes of territorial appropriation, behavioral adaptation, and collective inhabitation are constantly renegotiated. Impulses such as play, spontaneity, and violence intersect, opening onto speculative forms of popular experience.
