Takeover is a small contemporary art festival in business spaces, organized by the Croatian Association of Visual Artists, realized with the aim of marking the European Month of Creativity within the framework of the EU project CreART 3.0.

Prominent emerging artists, selected by KUĆĆA, took over spaces of well-known companies that operate in or are connected to the fields of cultural and creative industries. The artists exhibited their works in business premises and disseminate their practice among employees. Each intervention was also presented to the public through an open day and a talk with the artist. The Takeover programme enables art to “coexist” with the fast-paced everyday life of working environments. In this way, artworks become active participants in the non-art world, blurring the sharp boundaries between the corporate and artistic sectors, while retaining their ever-present power to reshape our reality. The goal of Takeover is to encourage a new generation of companies to contribute to the production of contemporary artistic practice, that is, to support a new generation of artists.
