suddenly it was clear, yesterday is just a fever dream
13:45 after a long day, there is nothing better than changing into a fresh change of skin and crawling under the warm hood of a new car
Latent life born from ubiquitous substances, all those things that make us us us us us us. It's not from here, but it's not from anywhere else.
09:12 today I wriggled out of the rough tube, with stiff wings I re-entered this sterile environment in which you are no longer here. and tomorrow I might wake up suspended, with throbbing tentacles. and a few days ago I turned into thousands of gut microbiota, although without the gut. we gnawed all this plastic around us, called ourselves plastivores. but it only destroyed us. sometimes i’m afr
It is reminiscent of someone who was here, a relic of the future unfolding right before us. Reflection of reality, all that simulation, hyperreality, heterotopia in one constantly active mechanism.
11:57 every day is the same, only I'm different lol
The eternal transmutation of an organism that resides between yes and no, growth and decay, conception and death.

The spatial installation "suddenly it was clear, yesterday is just a fever dream" is one of six new productions premiered summer 2023, as part of the 63rd Poreč Annale. The Zagreb cycle therefore includes six solo exhibitions (Robert Fenrich, Andrej Beštak and Anja Leko, ROSE Kolektiv, Gaia Radić, Marianna Nardini and Andrej Škufca), and is dedicated to artistic strategies of disruption of reality using irrational, magical and sacred frameworks.
"They told me the planet has nerve endings" explores artistic practices as a place of instability, current realities in constant processes of becoming and disappearing, transitional subjects and carnival suspensions, temporary extensions into new immaterial, surreal and digital worlds. These are worlds in-between, worlds that lurk for us, waiting for us to open our own boundaries. They disturb the dominant systems of reality by accepting irrational, magical and sacred frameworks: in them our bodies burst and sail into new realities, mutating into alien organisms.
ROBERT FENRICH was born in 1995 in Zagreb. He finished his graduate university studies in Graphics in 2020 under the mentorship of prof. Svjetlan Junaković with the praise of the academic council for the most successful graduates. He currently lives and works in Zagreb and actively exhibits at group and individual exhibitions. He founded the informal art collective Medium Movement at the end of 2018 (formed as a space for experiment and a platform for the production of hybrid forms of cultural and entertainment content with the aim of networking and cooperation) in which he operates until the beginning of 2023. In his artistic work, he deals with interdisciplinary research, experimental and multimedia practices with an emphasis on ambient creativity, which explores the boundaries of image, ambience and sound.
