ROSE Collective (HR)
ROSE Collective is a group of three artists working in performance and audiovisual installations. The collective was formed in 2017, when Bruna Jakupović, Lana Lehpamer, and Ivor Tamarut enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts. At the final exhibition of the “New Media” department in 2019, they presented their first collaborative performance, which focused on improvisation and the interaction of live sound and image within a closed loop.
Since then, the collective has continued to explore ideas of communication, collaboration, and improvisation through collective artistic expression. In 2021, they exhibited a site-specific work titled Working Spaces at Gallery CEKAO, and in the same year performed Speaking Spaces at Gallery VN under the name VR Kolektiv. In 2022, the members of the collective participated in a group performance as part of Improspekcija.
In 2023, they began a research project and residency within the framework of the DNEVNA SOBA project and the GMK research platform, where they developed the concept Rose Velvet — a virtual persona conceived as a starting point for further exploration of artificial intelligence, algorithms, and the infrastructures on which the entire online sphere is built. The first iteration of the work was presented at the 63rd Poreč Annale in 2023.
