Jurica Mlinarec graduated Art history and English language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciencies in Zagreb, and works as an independent curator.
Until the end of 2021, he was involved in the implementation of international manifestations, editing publications, developing curatorial programs and international cooperation projects in the organization KONTEJNER. He was involved in the work of the international project ArcHIVE – An integrative digital bio-art platform as a member of the curatorial board and editor of the project publication. In 2021, he co-founded the curatorial collective KUĆĆA with Klara Petrović and Luja Šimunović. As part of the KUĆĆA collective, in 2022 he curated the 36th edition of the Youth Salon titles "PARASITES", in 2023 the 63rd Poreč annals titled "They told me that the planet has nerve endings" and simultaneously works on the development of residential, production and exhibition programs of the collective. Since 2023, he also works as the head of Margherita Pevere Studio in Berlin. He completed an internship at the Lauba gallery, acted as a translator of publications of local galleries and international festivals, and collaborated with a number of organizations on the independent art scene. He received the Rector's Award of the University of Zagreb.
