Jurica Mlinarec diplomirao je povijest umjetnosti i engleski jezik i književnosti na Filozofskom fakultetu u Zagrebu, te djeluje kao nezavisni kustos.

 

Do kraja 2021. godine bavio se realizacijom međunarodnih manifestacija, uređivanjem publikacija, razvojem kustoskih programa i međunarodnih projekata suradnje u udruzi KONTEJNER. Bio je uključen u rad međunarodnog projekta ArcHIVE – An integrative digital bio-art platform kao član kustoskog odbora i urednik projektne publikacije. Godine 2021. osniva kustoski kolektiv KUĆĆA s Klarom Petrović i Lujom Šimunović. Kao dio kolektiva KUĆĆA, 2022. godine kurira 36. izdanje Salona mladih pod nazivom “PARAZITI”, 2023. godine 63. Porečki annale pod nazivom “Rekli su mi da planet ima živčane završetke” te simultano radi na razvoju rezidencijalnih, produkcijskih i izložbenih programa kolektiva. Godine 2023. djeluje i kao voditelj umjetničkog studija pri umjetnici Margheriti Pevere u Berlinu. Stažirao je u galeriji Lauba, djelovao kao prevoditelj publikacija lokalnih galerija i međunarodnih festivala i surađivao s nizom udruga na nezavisnoj umjetničkoj sceni. Dobitnik je Rektorove nagrade Sveučilišta u Zagrebu.

Jurica Mlinarec graduated Art history and English language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciencies in Zagreb, and works as an independent curator.

 

Until the end of 2021, he was involved in the implementation of international manifestations, editing publications, developing curatorial programs and international cooperation projects in the organization KONTEJNER. He was involved in the work of the international project ArcHIVE – An integrative digital bio-art platform as a member of the curatorial board and editor of the project publication. In 2021, he co-founded the curatorial collective KUĆĆA with Klara Petrović and Luja Šimunović. As part of the KUĆĆA collective, in 2022 he curated the 36th edition of the Youth Salon titles "PARASITES", in 2023 the 63rd Poreč annals titled "They told me that the planet has nerve endings" and simultaneously works on the development of residential, production and exhibition programs of the collective. Since 2023, he also works as the head of Margherita Pevere Studio in Berlin. He completed an internship at the Lauba gallery, acted as a translator of publications of local galleries and international festivals, and collaborated with a number of organizations on the independent art scene. He received the Rector's Award of the University of Zagreb.
